Why this plugin exists

I've played instruments since I was a kid, mainly guitar. I'm 51 now. What I've always loved about music is the creative side: writing, recording, trying things until something sounds alive.

Mixing and mastering are the other side of the job. Necessary, repetitive and, if I'm honest, boring. Over the years I kept noticing the same patterns in that work: the same problems showing up track after track, the same measurements, the same fixes. One day I decided to automate as much of the boring part as I could, so the time I spend on music goes to the part I actually enjoy.

I've been a software developer since the 90s, and building tools that give me back time is the part of engineering I love most. The very first version of Transientik Master was a private experiment. I gave it to friends who work in music production, they kept using it, and their feedback convinced me to finish it properly and sell it at a price anyone making music can afford.

That's the whole story. No venture capital, no growth team, no subscription roadmap. One person, one fair price, and a tool I use on my own tracks.

Where I stand on AI (since you'll ask)

I work with AI every day. It's part of my job, I teach companies how to use it productively and ethically, and I used it while building this product: it helps me write and test code faster and ship fixes in days instead of months. I'm not going to hide that, and I'm not ashamed of it.

The audio path is a different matter. There is no AI model inside the processing chain. Every decision the engine makes is deterministic: rules over measurements, the same result for the same track, every time, all documented in a report you can read. A mastering tool should not be a slot machine, and your music should not depend on anyone's cloud.

Human taste, machine discipline, zero mystery in your signal chain. That's the deal.
